Through a combined experience of over 30 years in metro and regional centres, Woorra Resources currently possesses the expertise to scope, manage and execute projects of varying scale.
The business is owned and operated by Wadandi Noongar woman, Tania Timewell and industry veteran Jane Riley. Both women pride themselves on their attention to detail, commitment to safety and customer service, whilst always exceeding client expectations.
From inception, the business has been driven to support both the wider Aboriginal community, and women in construction. It has a target to maintain a at least 50% Indigenous and female staff and is supported in this by a number of recruitment partners.
As part of our commitment to achieving the principles of health and safety in our workplace, we recognise our moral and legal responsibility to provide a safe and healthy work environment for workers, contractors, customers and visitors. This commitment also extends to ensuring that risk management is an integral part of the company’s approach to decision making and accountability, and that all personnel within the company are responsible for the management of risks that relate to their particular area of work.
Woorra Resources founders are passionate about increasing the representation of both Indigenous Australians and women in the construction industry. Wanting to play a part in breaking down the perceived barriers to entry and educate as many people as possible the business has a standing goal to achieve at least 50% employment of female and Indigenous staff and is working with recruiting partners to ensure this.
